January Wrap up and February TBR

Hi everyone!


Well i cannot believe that January has already ended and now were into February and were coming up on 2018 new book releases starting to come out into the world.


January Wrap up 


I had a very good reading month in january were i read a total of 7 books which is the most i've read in a long time.  So many great stories that i delved into this month did not disappoint me and i'm hoping the books i read in February will be just as good.


Out of The Shadows by Ashlee Nicole Bye

This was the first book i read this month and this book was given to me by the author in exchange for an honest review.  This is the first book in a series called the 'Shadowlands' series and is set in Australia  and is an urban fantasy series.  This book follows Sachi Manning who lives with her brother in Melbourne, Australia in a house they inherited from a family member.  Sachi is leading a really normal life with no troubles until her best friend is murdered and she is thrown into a whole mystery of what the media is calling the 'Melbourne Slasher'.  Sachi soon meets Julian and Moss who are members of the order group that are led by Lord Mortem, this group are all immortal.  

I won't go to much more into detail but i found this was a very well written and fleshed out book with a strong plot line and characters and i can't wait to see were the book goes if the author releases a second one to the series.  

Saga Volume Four & Five by Brian K. Vaughan 

The saga series is a comic series written by Brian Vaughan with Artist Fiona Staples doing the drawings to bring to life this very unique story.   This is the second comic book series that i have ever picked up and i won't give to much away about the plot because this is volume's four and five which is a mid way point of were the series is.

Unearthed by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner

The fourth book for the month that i finished was of course Unearthed by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner.  You can see my full thoughts on this by going onto this blog and reading my full review on it!

The Medoran Chronicles by Lynette Noni  

The final 3 books i read in the month of January were a re-read for me and it was The Medoran Chronicles a fantasy series by aussie author Lynette Noni, this story follows 16 year old Alexandra Jennings who walks through a door into the world of Medora.  I won't be giving to much away about my thoughts on this series because i plan to do blog post about each book.  This series will be a five book series and will have one novella as a companion to the series.

February TBR Pile. 

February for me will be a very light as i am traveling to Melbourne for a week so my reading time will be very limited, so my TBR for this month will be very small.   

but here is what you can expect to see me reading in the month of February

- Graevale by Lynette Noni which is the fourth book of the Medoran Chronicles series and which was released on February 1st.   

- Simon Vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli and this is my Book club book of the month for February. This book is a re-read for me as i prepare for the movie adaptation coming out in March 2018.

- Winter will be my final read of this month and this is the fourth and final book in the Lunar Chronicles series by American author Marissa Meyer.  I've had this last book for some time now but i'm finally going to read this one and this book will probably take me the longest to read since it's over 800 pages.


So that's a snapshot of what you can be expecting me to be reading this month and it's only 3 books but this month will be very busy for me so i won't have a lot of time to read.  What are you planning to read this month? and how did you go with your reading in January?
